Christi Owens's Story

In late 1992 I left Islamorada w/ my boyfriend and moved out west. I had seen enough of hurricanes and ANDREW was the final straw! I have been tending bar until 1995 when I became a BlackJack dealer at a new casino. It is called CasaBlanca resort and has a nice website. I've been there 13 yrs now aand still love it! I also sing w/ my husband John in his band...Expand for more
the Putter Brothers. We love it here in Mesquite Nv where the town is only 5 miles across and about 15000 people, lots of golf courses and a short drive from the Grand Canyon, Zion and Bryce National Parks. We will probably retire in a few years and stay in this area. We are only 80 miles from Vegas but it has a small town feel and all the shopping we need!
